Im a big mohaa(medal of honor allied assault) player, so most problems I run into I either know the answer to, or I can ask a freind to help me with. But this one has got me comeplelty puzzled after weeks of working on it. I try to connect to any server and it gets Server Connection Timed Out. I look in the console and written over and over agian is :: NET_SendPacket: WSAEADDRNOTAVAIL. I havent been able to find out the answer to this one. Since I saw the word packet, I thought I would look into how many packets I have being sent and received, and the numbers go up by 5 every second. Now I dont know if this is normal, because I dont know much about packets, but I dont remember seeing that many packets being sent or received in the past. Also I looked in what WSAEADDRNOTAVAIL means, and most sites said it was an error that occurs when an application attempts to connect to a remote host, and the address is not available from the local system. But the server is indeed up and availiable. Also Gamespy has managed to pick up on the fact that the servers are supposidly down, because on the server list they all have X's in front of it. ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE MORE THAN APPRECIATED. IVE ASKED EVERYONE AND NOONE HAS THIS ANSWER. PLEASE SAVE ME. I LOVE MY MOHAA!!!!!!!!!
Hello
I have a problem connecting to a server running 2008 R2 via MSTSC or Remote Desktop Connection Manager. Using RDCM, it returned an error code, 7431. Couldn't find much info on Google so I tried MSTSC, which gave a more detailed error which basically said that there was a time or date difference between the my pc and the server. I've checked the time on my PC, been down to the server room and logged on to the physical server using a KVM and the time and dates are the same as well.
In the event log it states that the RPC Server has failed. This is a DocumentFile server and all of the network shares are still active, all users can still access user areas, departmental areas and shared areas.
We do have nagios as well which gave us the additional info 'Result from smbclient not suitable.'
I did do a search of the forum before posting this, I used to use Edugeek under a different username (freaky_seb, changed job and this account was linked to my old work email.)
Any help would be rewarded with cookies and doughnuts!
Cheers
